Norma Stabala
Mayor

Mayor Norma King Strabala is a true product of Stuttgart. After growing up on the corner of 2nd and Rose, she graduated from Stuttgart High School, class of ‘79, and soon met her husband of over 40 years, Mike Strabala.

Mayor Strabala took office after a special election in April of 2021, fulfilling the term left by former Mayor David Earney. Norma won her first full term by running unopposed in November 2022.

The focus, under Mayor Strabala, has been to improve the streets, drainage, and infrastructure following years of neglect.

“Quality of life also means quality of health, comfort and enjoyment of life and we need to create a climate that encourages businesses and entrepreneurs to follow their ingenuity and invest in these ideas in Stuttgart. As we move forward into this new century, we need to convince people that they are important to the life and success of Stuttgart and that Stuttgart is important to them,” – Norma Strabala
